Hi, I’m Niamh, the Nutritionist behind NWNutrition
Like many of the clients I work with today, my relationship with food was complicated long before I became a nutritionist.
Diet culture, conflicting advice, and a body that never quite responded the way that generic guidance promised left me feeling frustrated and depleted. My energy was inconsistent, my hormones were all over the place, and no amount of standard nutrition advice seemed to account for the simple fact that my body worked differently.
The turning point
After years in a fast-paced corporate career, I returned to education to pursue my passion for nutrition, completing an MSc in Human Nutrition with Distinction at St Mary's University, London. Studying the science of how individual biology shapes the way that we respond to food gave me a framework that actually explained what years of generic advice never could.
Our nutritional needs are shaped by more than generic guidelines account for. Our genetics, our gut health, our life stage and our lifestyle all play a role. Understanding that was the turning point, not just for my own health, but for how I wanted to practise as a nutritionist.
Why I built NWNutrition
I built NWNutrition to offer the kind of support I wished had existed when I was navigating all of this myself. Nutrition should be built around you, your biology, your symptoms, your real life, not a generic template. Every recommendation I make is grounded in current evidence, delivered with honesty about what nutrition can and cannot do, and designed to actually work in practice.
Who I work with
I work with people who are tired of generic advice and want real answers. Whether you are navigating hormonal symptoms, gut health issues, unexplained fatigue, weight management concerns, or simply want to understand your body better, there is a pathway at NWNutrition that is right for you.
NWNutrition also works with organisations looking to support their teams through evidence-based workplace nutrition programmes. Find out more about corporate services here.
